It is our policy to accommodate you and your pet(s) with the best possible care while you are away or unable to care for them. These terms and conditions are in place to protect you and your pet(s), as well as our company.

Unforeseen purchases: If Pup Walks Austin must purchase food, litter, or cleaning supplies that contribute to the health and welfare of your pet(s), we will retain a receipt and the owner is responsible for reimbursement of these items. In addition, a $10 travel fee will be applied.

Pet care emergencies: In the case that your pet needs to go to an emergency veterinarian's office while in Pup Walks Austin's care, the pet owner will be contacted prior to departure to the veterinarian's office. A receipt will be retained, and the owner is responsible for reimbursement of the visit plus a $50 emergency travel fee, unless Pup Walks Austin is responsible for any physical life-threatening injuries incurred while in our care. Pup Walks Austin is not responsible for any illness or exacerbation of pre-existing conditions while in our care.

Keys: Keys may be kept with the front office or door person as long as it's accessible to us at time of visit. Keys may be kept in a lockbox that the client provides or in a place that the client deems safe. Pup Walks Austin cannot be responsible for keys left in lockboxes, in the hands of the front office or door person or a place deemed safe per the client. Keypad codes shared with Pup Walks Austin will not be shared with others other than caregivers working with Pup Walks Austin.

Payments: Pup Walks Austin accepts PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, Cash App and Apple Pay. A non-refundable deposit will be required prior to booking a sitting or boarding service. An invoice will be sent to you after booking a service online. All invoices must be paid in full upon completion of the requested service. There will be a $25 late fee for all invoices that are not settled within 2 days of invoice date. Clients are responsible for all costs of collections.

Inclement weather policy: You entrust Pup Walks Austin to use our best judgment in caring for your pet(s) during inclement weather. Every effort will be made to reach the clients home, but the service schedule may be changed, interrupted, or altered in the case we cannot get there. If it is down pouring, snowing, sleeting or extremely hot, walks may be cancelled but can be changed to a drop-in visit for no additional charge. If a service must be completely cancelled due to inclement weather, you will not be charged for the service. Pup Walks Austin will attempt to reach out to the client to give notice about any change in service. If client does not answer, Pup Walks Austin will use their better judgement to either cancel or change a walk to a drop-in visit if deemed necessary.

Medications: Pup Walks Austin will attempt to administer all medications as directed by the primary caregiver but cannot be held responsible for complications or side effects that arise as a result. If an animal will react negatively to the administration of a medication (bite, severely scratch or claw the caregiver) Pup Walks Austin reserves the right to not administer the medication and will inform you of such as soon as possible.

Immunizations: All pets must have the required and necessary immunizations before service begins. If boarding with Pup Walks Austin, pets must have rabies vaccines, be on flea and tick medication and be up to date with immunizations.

Boarding: Pup Walks Austin's boarding facility is a residential home. Pup Walks Austin will only allow one outside family to board at a time. There are 2 extra-large kennels available for use with necessary bedding and food bowls. If your pet causes damage to Pup Walks Austin's kennels, bedding, food bowls or property, the client will be responsible for said damages. If you prefer to bring your own kennels, bedding and food bowls, please do so. Pup Walks Austin has 2 large, fully vaccinated and spayed dogs that live on the property. If you continue to book a boarding service, you are aware of these dogs and will not hold Pup Walks Austin liable for any physical injuries caused by Pup Walks Austin's dogs. If life-threatening physical injuries occur to client's dogs from Pup Walks Austin's dogs, Pup Walks Austin will be held responsible for such physical injuries and veterinarian costs.

Pet Guardianship: In the unfortunate event that you become incapacitated while your pet(s) are in our care, please name the person who should be contacted to become their temporary guardian until care can be provided as arranged for in your legal documents. Be sure that the person named is aware of your appointing them as guardian.
